The redesigned website has been launched as the Powerball lottery jackpotted to $12 million overnight and in time for the $21 million Superdraw on Saturday the 4th November.
Jumbo Chief Executive Officer, Mr Mike Veverka, said today the launch will be accompanied by a busy promotional period that coincides with the upcoming $21 million Superdraw on the 4th November 2006.
“The redevelopment was the first of several new online marketing initiatives being planned by OzLotteries.com to attract new customers and increase retention rates of current clients”, he said.
Over the next few months, Jumbo’s lottery division plans to introduce a number of new features to make purchasing lottery tickets online from OzLotteries.com easier and more enjoyable for customers.
"The release of the new OzLotteries.com web site is an important milestone and is a vast improvement on the old site," Mr Veverka said.
The OzLotteries.com website is currently the fastest growing lottery sales channel in the Jumbo lottery division. Web site visitors have increased 154% and active customers (those making multiple purchases) have increased 118% in the 12 months to June 2006, compared to the previous year.
